Here’s to the Crazy Ones

I’m a marketing guy at heart.  I love a good ad campaign.  In my humble opinion, the best ad campaign of the modern era has to be Apple’s “Here’s to the Crazy Ones“.  It was simply brilliant.  Even today people still think of Apple (one of the largest corporations in the world) as a small start up company of outsiders based on this one campaign.

Over the last month we began telling a handful of people about Refuge Church.  The reality of asking people to join with us in this crazy journey really set in.  This morning, I thought about this ad campaign.  I mean seriously, you have to be a little crazy to risk your resources, time, reputation, and who knows what else to bring people into relationship with one another, all in the name of a guy who claimed to be God, and claimed he could bring people (including himself) back from the dead.

So Here’s to the Crazy Ones …

The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.

Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Because the people who are crazy enough to think
they can change the world, are the ones who do.

If you’re one of the crazy ones who think they can change the world, email [email protected] or text 239.995.5626.
