A Peachy Church

We compare Refuge to a peach.  Soft and easy to break into from the outside.  Juicy and sweet on the inside.  But at our core, the rock solid truth of the Gospel of Jesus.

The first thing people knew about Christians is that all walks of life gathered together and devoted themselves to the apostles teachings, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Our weekly worship gatherings are on Saturday nights.  These gatherings are a time of singing, teaching, eating, prayer and conversation.

At Refuge our ambition is to not have a set style of music, but to have an eclectic mix.  We approach worship intimately.  There are no fog machines or light shows.  We do not make sales pitches or only play loud.  Our worship isn’t catered to any single age group or ethnicity.  Our worship is for anyone who desires to be intimate with God.

The focus of the church should be Jesus.  Not a charismatic leader, not a building, not programming … JESUS.  Being a new church (est. 2016), we are attempting to build the culture that Jesus established and desires still today for our modern generation.  To be a people that extends scandalous grace.
