New Year, New Series! Here at Refuge, we’re jumping into 2025 with the thought-provoking series QTNA // Question That Need Answered. Our members have submitted their biggest questions and we will spend the next several weeks exploring them together! But before we dive into the answers, Pastor Nicole walks us through why asking questions in faith is not only okay – its essential to our growth!
Questions are how we learn and grow! They challenge what we know and push us to go deeper. In Psalms 25:4-5, the Psalmist asks God to teach and guide them. This shows us that asking questions is an act of humility and faith. When we seek answers, we’re trusting that God will meet us where we are.
Unfortunately, many people are taught that doubts mean their faith is small and weak. But the truth is asking questions in faith shows a willingness and desire to grow. in John 20, Thomas doubted the resurrection until he saw Jesus for himself. Jesus didn’t shame him, instead He invited him to ask and believe!
Some might believe that faith means blindly believing without question. But even asked over 300 questions during His ministry. WHY? Because Jesus knew how important questions where. They open the door to deeper understanding.
In Matthew 7, Jesus encourages His followers to ask questions in faith. Tell us to ask, seek, and knock. These are courage steps toward discovery. It’s not about bending God to our will, and making him do what we demand. But its about learning to ask, seek, and knock so that we strengthen our faith and deepen our relationship with him.
This series isn’t Just about answers. It’s about creating space to wrestle with doubts, listen, and grow as a community. Proverbs 27:17 reminds us that as iron sharpens iron, so we must sharpen each other. Your perspectives and experiences could inspire someone within this community. Your thoughts and ideas could change someone’s outlook. So, JOIN US, on Facebook Live or in person. Come asking questions in faith, knowing it could lead to deeper understanding and deeper relationships.
