Samson Society

Meeting Tuesdays @ 7pm // Starting November 8th

But I will hold on hope, and I won’t let you choke on the noose around your neck. And I’ll find strength in pain and I will change my ways. I’ll know my name as it’s called again. (The Cave, Mumford and Sons)

Why a Samson Society?

Men are silent sufferers.

1 in 10 men have an addictive behavior.  Of these, a 2012 Gallup Poll cited the top three issues men reported struggling with in their lives: pornography, sex addiction, and depression.  These members ranged in age from 15-80; 72% of the members were married, 18 % were single, and the remaining 10% were “in a relationship”.

What is a Samson Society?

The Samson Society is a parachurch evangelical men’s ministry for those who are serious about authenticity, community, humility, and recovery.

The goal is to promote personal behavior changes in whatever area of life a man struggle’s with like porn, substance abuse, marital fidelity, divorce, parenting issues, same -sex, or job loss just to name a few.  We do this by assisting one another in our common journey through honestly sharing our own personal experiences and the challenges and encouragements of daily Christian living in a fallen world.

How are Samson Society meetings held?

A weekly, small-group format facilitated by a meeting template, but are held together through reciting The Fact, The Path, and The Pact.  Every week there will be a topic of discussion, where we one another one another out of the brokenness we share, striving for authentic brotherhood with out judgment, with out masks.

After the formal part, all are invited to do-life together at a local establishment.

So in short: An environment of broken men learning to be real and raw before God and each other, setting ourselves free from captive strongholds.

If that is you, I look forward to walking this journey with you.
