As a pastor, sometimes the Christmas story can feel like something I have to get through, so we can get back to the “good stuff” of the Bible; God’s grace and mercy. But as I looked at this genealogy at the start of Matthew’s Gospel, I was reminded that the “good stuff” is right in front of us. This one passage (a list of seemingly random names), is just dripping with God’s grace and mercy.
Included in this recording is our time of worship, lead for the first time by the Refuge.Youth band, and stick around for the end for a few Christmas carols as we roll into the Christmas season.
