Joy to the world
Hillsong Worship
In a world often overshadowed by uncertainty and challenges, finding joy can seem like a distant dream. However, a recent sermon on joy, set against the backdrop of the Advent season, offers a refreshing perspective on how we can rediscover and embrace joy in our lives.
Advent, a four-week period leading up to Christmas, is traditionally a time of preparation and reflection. It symbolizes the anticipation of Jesus’ birth and the hope for His return. This week we revisit the themes of love and hope and how their collision brings about true joy to the world.
This week we explored the story of two characters that are often on the peripheral of the Christmas Story; Elizabeth and Zechariah. Despite their old age and apparent infertility, they were promised a child. They baby, John, would be great in the eyes of the Lord. From this story, Pastor Brian teaches us how joy often comes after long periods of waiting, chaos, and uncertainty.
We continue to celebrate the Advent season this Saturday for our Christmas Eve Eve service. We’d love to see you in person. So, invite your friends, family, and everyone you know to come celebrate this wonderful season. We hope to see you Saturday, December 23rd @ 5pm.
