Why do bad things happen to good people? It's a question we've all wrestled with. When life feels…
Joy to the world
Hillsong Worship
We have finally made it to our Christmas Eve Eve Service. We have been slowly journeying through Advent this year. This has been a different experience for us here at Refuge, but we’ve slowed down and reflected on Love, Hope, Joy, and Peace that we get to experience in the anticipated arrival of the messiah.
This Christmas Eve (Eve) we reflect on the Prince of Peace that Isaiah prophesies about. He’s talking about the arrival of the long awaited messiah. The Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Price of Peace. We know that the children of Israel were waiting for something extraordinary. Instead our savior comes in an ordinary way, to ordinary parents, announced to ordinary shepherds.
In an era where the true essence of Christmas can be overshadowed by hustle and bustle. So, we look at Isaiah 9:6 and journey back to the core of what this season is about. During the sermon we will delve into the titles given to Jesus – Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace – and unravel their significance for us today. It’s an exploration of how these titles are not just lofty ideals but tangible realities that can influence and transform our daily lives.
Just as the shepherds were visited by the angels on an ordinary night, we too can experience the divine in the ordinary-mundane-days of our lives. In this Christmas Eve Eve sermon be encouraged by the ordinary.
We pray you experience Love, Hope, Joy, and Peace this Advent season. Merry Christmas Eve Eve from all of us here at Refuge!
